本次發表新機的外型風格，採用了 Sony 強調的「OmniBalance（全平衡）」風格，跟過去使用講求外型獨特性的 Xperia 系列有所不同，反而更返樸歸真地採用了極其低調的方正風格，講求線條構造的設計意外在輕薄外又帶來點俐落感。當然，如同當年 Xperia NXT 剛推出時「識別帶」的用意般，未來 Sony 會陸續在新機中加入 OmniBalance 類似元素。
