《家在高士》由阿Van創作，講述關於家鄉屏東高士村的歌，職業為國小老師的阿Van，親身體會到偏遠地區孩童的就學問題，於是創作這首歌，並將傳統阿美歌謠融入爵士藍調編曲，加入歌曲前段，讓女兒陳艾負責演唱。另外，他也自創「排灣語Rap」，唱出村落人口外流，以及鄉間學校面臨「廢校」或「併校」的危機，象徵新舊兩代的對話。
